Riyaaz Parker
Riyaaz Parker is a dedicated attorney with a strong focus on corporate law, dispute resolution, and contract negotiations. Admitted as an attorney in 2010, Riyaaz launched his legal career at Parker & Associates, where he gained invaluable experience handling complex corporate cases and high-stakes negotiations. He holds an LLB from the University of the Western Cape and has since expanded his expertise by completing specialized courses in Commercial Law and Arbitration.
Riyaaz’s legal acumen extends beyond courtrooms — he plays a vital role in advising businesses on compliance, risk management, and strategic planning, helping clients navigate legal challenges with confidence. Zaheer Parker is an experienced attorney specializing in commercial and civil litigation. Admitted as an attorney in 2008, Zaheer began his career at Nilands Attorneys, where he served as an article clerk and professional assistant. He holds an LLB from the University of the Western Cape and recently completed a Master’s in Employment Law at the University of Cape Town.
In addition to his extensive practical legal experience, Zaheer is involved in the management, and training of graduate staff, contributing to the development of future legal professionals.
Zaheer was selected as one of South Africa’s representatives at the International Bar Association’s African Young Lawyer recipient event held in Rome in 2018. His commitment to public service includes serving as a legal consultant for the South African Human Rights Commission in 2012.
A passionate community advocate, Zaheer serves on the boards of several social welfare NGOs and is actively involved in youth development initiatives, including mentorship and entrepreneurship programs.
He also serves on the Executive Committee of Rylands Cricket Club, further demonstrating his commitment to community, social activism and and youth development through sports.

Regan Cloete is a dedicated criminal defence attorney, committed to providing strong, strategic defence for individuals facing criminal charges, ranging from minor offenses to serious crimes. Admitted as an attorney in 2019, Regan began his career at Parker Attorneys, where he served as an article clerk under Mr. Riyaaz Parker. He later completed his articles at Mario Walters Inc. before rejoining Parker Attorneys in 2020 as an associate legal practitioner. Since 2022, Regan has headed the firm’s criminal law department.
Regan holds an LLB degree from UNISA and completed the LEAD program at UCT, equipping him with a well-rounded legal education. Known for his tenacity and commitment, Regan tirelessly works to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients, whether through aggressive litigation, negotiation, or plea bargaining. Our clerks receive hands-on training, working closely with attorneys and gaining practical experience in key legal processes. They are entrusted with appearing in the Magistrates Court and representing clients at the CCMA, Bargaining Councils, and internal disciplinary hearings as part of our labour and employment law practice.

Gracia Mukangwa was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and raised in South Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree, specializing in Law and Politics, and an LLB, both from the University of Cape Town (UCT). Further enhancing her legal expertise, she completed her Practical Legal Training (PLT) at the UCT School for Legal Practice.
With a dual qualification in Law and Social Science, Gracia brings a well-rounded, analytical approach to legal problem-solving. Her education, combined with hands-on legal training, allows her to tackle complex issues with confidence and clarity — making her a valuable asset to the dynamic, team-based environment at Parker Attorneys, where she is currently completing her articles of clerkship.
Beyond academics, Gracia is deeply committed to social justice. As an Advocacy Officer at a prominent Cape Town NGO, she worked tirelessly to support marginalized communities, showcasing her dedication to making a meaningful impact.
Her career highlights include attending the 77th Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) in Arusha, Tanzania — an eye-opening experience where she engaged with commissioners, civil society representatives, and NGOs from across the continent, deepening her understanding of legal advocacy’s role in promoting human rights. She also participated in a legal symposium attended by 60 magistrates, where she contributed to discussions on key legal developments and judicial processes, further expanding her legal perspective.
